Title: Phineas Gage

Author: John Flschman

Genre: Non-Fiction

In 1848 Phineas was a railroad worker that dealt with explosives and had a bad accident. He was a foreman for the explosive part, and had a accident that left a hole in his head. Despite his horrible accident he almost made a complete recovery, and he shared his story as he traveled it. His story changed the way we look at the brain.

The theme was do you think that Phineas was unlucky or lucky. I think that he was nether lucky or unlucky. I think this because things are meant to happen and happen, and that’s what I think happened with Phineas.

I liked this booked, thought it was interesting, but sometimes to confusing. At the beginning I was good it talked about his life on the railroad and what happened to him. Then when you got into the middle and it gets boring and confusing. I say that because there were too many medical terms and talked about the brain too much. I would give this book a 3 and half and would recommend it to someone who wants to go into brain information and wants to learn about the brain.
